Ataccama is a software company offering complete solutions in data quality, data management and big data. It develops the Ataccama ONE data management platform, which uses machine learning to analyze, profile, classify and manage the data of its major clients.
We helped increase the performance of the Big Data platform
After a successful collaboration to develop a microservice for team collaboration on this platform (comments, messaging), Ataccama approached Lundegaard with a new challenge.
The client was only using the platform to process part of their data sources and wanted to extend its use to all of their data sources. This placed demands on the performance and scalability of the current version of Ataccama, which was running into its limits. Ataccama therefore assembled a team to identify bottlenecks and improve the performance of the platform.
Ataccama ONE power increase
We added two senior developers to the implementation team, who were involved in analyzing the data processing process and establishing hypotheses about the bottlenecks during the six-month mission. As part of this mission, we validated these hypotheses and helped design and implement modifications to improve performance, including optimization of algorithms, database and full-text queries.
We repeatedly tested the platform with different data sources, measuring the impact of the modifications and looking for dependencies between them.
Data structure optimization and consultation
The cooperation also included optimization of the infrastructure and structure of the processed data.
Our expertise in digital product design and development, performance tuning, and data management helped Ataccama identify and reduce bottlenecks, thereby significantly improving platform performance.
Not only were we able to satisfy the requirement of a major end-customer, but our recommendations and practical interventions also contributed to the adaptation of the platform to the current market needs in the context of its current evolution into a SaaS model.
