The aim of the project was to update the engine and interface of the previously provided print service system that generates contract documentation in PDF format.
Description of the solution
The main driver of the change was the need to establish paperless sales process and digitally signed contracts, solved within the Dematerialisation project. Output documents that have been determined for printing had to be newly prepared for electronic biometric signature and subsequent processing.
The problem was primarily solved by the update of existing generator of pdf to be compatible with the latest versions of pdf format.
Furthermore, the possibilities of definition of document templates were extended by the support of inserting form fields (annotations), including the digital signature fields, by the possibilities to insert navigation and so-called “bookmarks” into the documents.
The system works on the bases of web services and apart from the pdf documents themselves it provides also the metadata necessary for their correct serving within the digital signing.
