Complete re-design of website of the Association of Innovative Pharmaceutical Industry including a special version for mobile devices and extranet.
Description of the solution
An analysis was carried out of the demands made on the new web pages, and a concept was created that included the definition of target groups and their needs, and information architecture designs and sitemap. Wire-frame models were then prepared for standard desktop computers and mobile devices. In accordance with the wire-frames and the corporate identity of the Association, new, creative graphics were produced.
The website contains a section accessible to the public, which introduces the work of the AIFP in terms of target groups – with an emphasis on topic information, which can be easily found, e.g. via articles grouped under topics, or a full-text search. This section features an on-line advice centre.
The members-only part of the website serves as an extranet for member companies and is a place for sharing internal information, including an events calendar, and publishing internal materials. This section is also integrated with the mailkit mass mailing systems, with the help of Mailkit connector.
The solution is built on CMS Lars Vivo, through which both language versions (Czech and English) managed, and content in various forms (desktop version, mobile version and RSS) is presented to the various user groups (ordinary visitor, ordinary intranet user and board member).
The aim was to create a new company web portal reflecting the needs of the Association, which brings together pharmaceutical companies. The goal was also to provide a trustworthy and easy to navigate source of up-to-date information and comment for the media, general public and professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. The new website should enhance the image of the association as an innovative, modern and open organisation, and enable convenient use on mobile devices and tablets.
The website has a clear, simple and modern graphic style, incorporating the corporate identity (CID) of the Association. It is adapted for mobile devices, including tablets. The section accessible to the public provides up-to-date information that is structured in an easy to follow manner for the specific user groups. The extranet also makes it easier for members to communicate with each other.
