Re-design of a web application that serves for arranging a classic and revolving credit over the internet.
Description of the solution
Users of the website of Cofidis, a loan provider, are transferred from the website calculator, in which the loan parameters (loan amount, term and instalments amounts) are set, to the Online Application Form, where the applicants complete information (such as personal details, address, employer and financial details) about themselves or co-applicants, This information is then sent via the website service to the internal system of Cofidis for an automatic assessment. Both a standard loan (Coficlassic) and the revolving credit facility are passed through this application.
To make it as user-friendly as possible for the customers, the details and steps necessary for completing the application form were optimised. In addition, the fields have handy prompts, and incomplete fields are flagged up. Users can also save forms and complete them later; a link to the incomplete application form can be sent via email.
The project included an analysis of the original loan application form and a link to the website service for evaluating the Cofisun application. The analysis was used as a basis for wireframe models, designed for the required pages and dialogues, and the graphic designs that were created. When producing the application, the LARS Vivo content management system was used. For security reasons (transfer of confidential data), the entire application communicates with the user via an HTTPS connection.
Web analytics was included in the application, and the development continued in subsequent phases, as did improvements to the application, based on website user behaviour or the conclusions from A/B or multivariate testing.
The goal was to give the company’s On-Line Application Form a fresh look, with an attractive graphic design. The purpose was also to enable loan applicants to easily fill in all the necessary information, and increase the percentage of loan applications that will be approved (conversion ratio).
A new, modern Online Application Form was created, in keeping with the corporate identity of Cofidis. Users follow a clear to follow and user-friendly process of meeting the goal of filling in and sending the online application form.
