We always try to comply with our clients' wishes as much as possible and facilitate their communication with us. When considering how to be closer to our clients, we obviously got an idea to use our clients' smart phones features.
This idea has not been far away from the solution. In cooperation with the company Lundegaard, we designed the ALD SmartCar native mobile application that makes information about the vehicle and contracted services accessible for our clients - drivers simply and quickly directly from their mobile phones. There is also assistance in the event of a breakdown, accident or medical complications including an instant contact to the assistance service of our company. Beyond this information, the chosen technology allows us to offer to find the nearest service station, tyre service or a petrol station and directly navigate to them. The application will also offer drivers current prices at petrol stations soon. We believe that this application will make life easier for our customers behind the wheel and can also help many other drivers thanks to access to some services without having to be logged.

Description of the solution

In clearly arranged user interface, the application offers to ALD clients an overview of all the information that can be provided within a vehicle leasing contract. Besides information on contract and vehicle, it also provides other services, e.g. navigation to petrol stations or contracted garages. The information is always up to date thanks to integration with ALD internal systems.

The application graphics has been designed to minimize differences for various mobile phones OS. 

Project objectives

  • Creating a native mobile application for Android and iOS in accordance with the concept of web applications for clients of the company ALD.
  • Increasing self-serviceability for clients of the company with a possibility of online resolving the specific requirements.
  • Improving the company image and modern access to services for ALD clients.

Result

The application provides ALD clients with access to its services on the most commonly used communication devices.

It clearly displays information about the used vehicle or the actual extent of the contract assistance services. It makes online information on the available contract services available, it will offer
a navigation to the nearest service location chosen according to set parameters or to the nearest available petrol station with regard to the contract fuel card. The client has also the use of quick help and advice in the event of a breakdown, accident or medical complications and immediately contact to the ALD Assistance service.
 

SmartCar application is available through Google Play and iTunes.

The application is intended for clients of ALD in the Czech and Slovak Republic.
