Liferay and Adobe are leaders of “Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms”

Gartner has announced research results within the category Digital Experience Platforms (DXP). Both Liferay and Adobe platforms have retained their positions as “leaders”, and Lundegaard proudly works with both.

Gartner defines Digital Experience Platform (DXP) as an integrated set of technologies, based on general platforms and standards that provide broad group of users with consistent, secure and personalized access to information and applications through multiple digital touchpoints (Digital Touchpoint). Customers use DXP to create, deploy, and continually improve customer experience within their web portals and other digital channels.  

What is Gartner Magic Quadrant

Gartner Magic Quadrant is a summary of the survey of Gartner for one specific product area - in our case, the "Digital Experience Platforms" published on 17 January 2018. This output in its graphical form provides the essence of the current state of the given segment, and is an indicator for future implementations of these products by customers. The set of entry rules is determined by Gartner and one of them, for example, is an annual turnover of $ 7 million.

The definitions of the individual quadrants are as follows:

Leaders

Companies in this quadrant have the ability to support various applications with their products and consistently meet customer requirements for a significant period of time. Furthermore, their products provide substantial innovation potential and are successfully sold to customers across different branches.

Challengers

Companies from this quadrant demonstrate with their products a sufficient range of functionality covering current demand, with a strong business and client base. However, a lack of vision, which "Leaders" and "Visionaries" possess, can pose problems in meeting future demand, both technologically and commercially.

Visionaries

Visionaries demonstrate a strong understanding for the needs of new customers and the possible impact of new technologies on their business.

Niche Players

These companies are limited to some possible scenarios (use cases) of the DXP platform, they have a limited geographic reach beyond their domestic market and cover only a narrow range of branches.
